Our NCAA Division II program, home to the Affinity Wolves, includes 14 varsity teams competing in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Our state-of-the-art Wolves Athletic Complex features a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena, Olympic-sized swimming pool, indoor track, and fully-equipped weight room available to all students. Beyond varsity sports, our intramural program welcomes participants of all skill levels in over 20 sports throughout the academic year, from flag football and basketball to ultimate frisbee and pickleball. Personal training services provide customized workout plans and one-on-one coaching at discounted student rates. The Affinity University Counseling Center serves as a comprehensive mental health resource for all enrolled students, fostering well-being and supporting academic success through a range of professional services. Our center is staffed by licensed psychologists, counselors, and social workers with diverse specializations including anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, substance use, and LGBTQ+ issues. Individual counseling sessions provide personalized support for specific concerns, with short-term solution-focused approaches typically spanning 6-10 sessions per academic year. Our varied therapy groups address common student challenges, including graduate student stress, social anxiety, grief and loss, family dynamics, and mindfulness practice, offering both peer support and professional guidance. For students requiring psychiatric evaluation or medication management, our staff psychiatrists provide these specialized services in coordination with counseling treatment plans. The center's crisis intervention team maintains availability for emergency situations, with walk-in hours during business days and an after-hours crisis line connected to licensed professionals at all times. Our outreach programs extend beyond the center walls, with workshops on stress management, healthy relationships, and emotional resilience delivered in residence halls, classrooms, and student organizations. For students needing longer-term or specialized care, our case managers facilitate seamless connections to community providers, often with negotiated student discounts. All services maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with professional standards and state law, creating a safe space for students to address sensitive concerns.
